Play with Distress Oxides on Kraft

Hey guys, Amber here from NotableInk.com. Grab your favorite color combo and let’s play with Distress Oxides on Kraft.

Royal Sundance cardstock comes in a variety of colors and is on sale this month. This line of cardstock features rustic fibers and flecks. Use it with 3D layering dies, layer stamping, or as backgrounds.

I’ve layer stamped Altenew Build-A-Flower: Peruvian Lily with Distress Oxides on Royal Sundance Kraft paper.

Play with Distress Oxides on Kraft

Normally when I stamp on Kraft, I start with a layer of white pigment ink to ensure the dye inks will be bright. However, I thought, why not leverage Distress Oxide pigment properties.

These inks sit on the surface of the paper making them perfect for stamping on these Royal Sundance colored cardstocks.

Sorry folks, I don’t have a video for this card because I really did just sit down to play. That being said, this layer set is pretty straight forward and you could use any layering set you have on hand.

    Altenew Build-A-Flower: Peruvian Lily

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Peruvian Lily is quite possibly one of the most realistic layering stamps out there. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I’ve added a pic of the layering guide and I’ll note the ink I used for each layer.

Layers are labeled 1-10 in the order you see on the layering guide below. The 4th image below is the result of the first 3 layers. All inks were Ranger Distress Oxide unless otherwise noted.

    Lily Layer Stamp Colors

    Layer 1: Abandoned Coral
Layer 2: Worn Lipstick (front right lilies) Carved Pumpkin (back left lily)
    Layer 3: Candied Apple
    Layer 4: Squeezed Lemonade
    Layer 5: Wild Honey
    Layer 6: Carved Pumpkin
    Layer 7: Candied Apple
    Layer 8: Black Soot
    Layer 9: Black Soot
    Layer 10: Black Soot

    Leaf Layer Stamp Colors

    Card Assembly

I splattered an A2 sized white panel with black ink and stamped the sentiment in Black Soot. Next, I die cut the lilies and leaves and arranged them with foam tape. I trimmed off the elements hanging over the bottom edge and called it done.
