    A Bright Thank You

Even though Fall is close, I still like my bright, cheerful floral cards. For today’s project, it’s all about cute thank you cards that are easy to replicate.

For my card bases, I used Ice Blue Royal Sundance Fiber Card Stock. This is a very light, blue with bits of darker blue speckles on it. I like this card stock because it’s something other than white but still looks neutral.

I added a panel of Basis Blue Card Stock over the top along with some heat embossed flowers. I die cut it using an older die set from Spellbinders that adds a little bit of retro shaping.

With the darker card stock, I make sure to always use a powder bag before heat embossing to be sure extra embossing powder does not stick in places it shouldn’t. I also use a finely ground embossing powder to get a crisper image.

I added another white panel using the same die set and stamped my sentiment along with more flowers. This time, I colored my flowers in Fluorescent Copic markers. I love the fluorescents. They’re really bright, but not neon. Just enough to really stand out.

I popped the white panel up over the top of the blue one using some foam tape.

These cards are very simple to make a few in one sitting. The Ice Blue Royal Sundanceis an excellent option if you’re looking for something different for a card base. Thanks so much for joining me today and be sure to head over to the CutCardstock shop to see the other Royal Sundance colors.
