Hello, hello! Samantha here with a project that is far easier to create than a Rubik’s Cube is to solve (at least for me!). My kiddo is having a birthday soon and I thought that since he loves Rubik’s Cubes it would be fun to incorporate them into his party.

The best part about this project is that you don’t need any dies or fancy cutting machines. It’s important to me to bring you tutorials for things that just about anyone can make.

For the purpose of demonstration I’m going to be using Basis White 80lb Cardstock but for this project you will need:

• Basis Black 80lb Cardstock cut to 7.5″ x 10.5″
• Score- Tape Premium Double-Sided Adhesive
• Cardstock in the following colors: Discount Cardstock in Orange, Discount Cardstock in Smooth Camomile Yellow, Discount Cardstock in Textured Indigo Blue, Discount Cardstock in Smooth Granny Apple, Pop Tone Cardstock in Red Hot, and Basis White 80lb Cardstock, all cut into .75″ squares (I opted to use my Cricut to cut all the little squares out but you can definitely do it by hand as well)
• Scoring board
• Bone folder

On the 7.5″ side score your cardstock at 2.5″ and 5.5″.

On the 10.5″ side score your cardstock at .5″, 3″, 5.5″ and 8″.

On the 10.5″ side score at 5″, stopping at the first score line.

Score at 5″ from the second score line down.

Repeat at 8.5″; scoring to the first score line and then from the second score line down.

I’ve shaded in the areas which you will remove.

After trimming the aforementioned sections away you will be left with a piece that looks like this.

Apply Score- Tape to the side flaps and miter.

Miter the top flap as well. Fold and burnish your score lines.

Take your .75″ x .75″ squares of cardstock and adhere them (9 per side except for the bottom) to your box. I’ve found that it’s easier for me to do this before putting the box together.

Here I’m showing you how to do this on your black cardstock.

Assemble your box and fill with treats.
