Fall is definitely my favorite season. I love the rich colors of the leaves on the trees and the potted mums that decorate neighbors’ porches. My project today was inspired by those gorgeous blooms.
Next to Copics, Zig Clean Color Brush Pens are my favorite way to add a splash of color to stamped images. For this pretty cluster of flowers (which I heat embossed using clear powder), I chose a variety of fall colors in my Zig collection. I stamped and embossed my images on to some Cougar Flat Card Invitations and will trim them out later.
The heat embossing makes it easy to keep all the color in the lines.
For my card base, I am using Pop Tone Hot Fudge card stock. It really does look like hot fudge–a really deep, rich, brown. Perfect for Fall projects. I arranged my sentiment around the square frame I’ll be adding to my card, and heat embossed that with white embossing powder.
I popped my frame up onto the front of the card using foam tape, then adhered the two flower clusters using large glue dots.
I added a piece of Classic Linen card stock to the inside so you can easily write a note.
Be sure to stay with us all month here on the CutCardstock blog where we will be featuring all kinds of projects using orange, brown and gold cardstock. Thanks for joining me today!
