I've had this old jar for maybe 10 years and it has served many purposes over that time. I was thinking it was time to send it to the big thrift store in the sky when I decided it needed to be a candy jar for Easter. Here it is, finished and stuffed with little plastic eggs holding treats.
To decorate the jar, I first cut White Canvas paper into two 4-1/4x11" strips and die cut one piece with S4-218 Lattice Borderabilities Petite
in my Grand Calibur
The only trick I found was to cut each section apart and adhere them with a strip of tiny dot adhesive such as Glue Rings, making sure that the center of each section, found the center of the jar's sides.
I wanted something a little more vibrant than the usual pastels associated with Spring and Easter. Cut Card Stock's Pop Tone colors were perfect.

This project was so fun (I think) because decorating the eggs was so fun.
After cutting out plenty of eggs, 2 of each color I used, I cut a number of shapes from a bunch of die templates.
Then I spread the die-cut shapes around the table and started pulling them together for one egg at a time. I adhered several pieces on top of the egg and then trimmed around the back of each one.
I mixed shapes, colors and textures and chose these four as my favorites.
I adhered the favorites to the center of each side and adhere blank ones to the corners. Finally, I decorated the top with a stamped, colored chick with some die-cut layering.
Happy Easter and Happy Creating to all, Eli
